Alan qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and joined the firm in 1995. Alan heads our Property and Private Client departments. He has extensive experience in Commercial Property transactions, Leasing for both Landlord and Tenant, Business Sales and Purchases, all aspects of Residential Property conveyancing – Sales, Purchases and Refinancing, Wills, Inheritance Tax Planning, Administration of Executry Estates (Probate), Powers of Attorney and Guardianship.

Shona Gibson

Position: Accredited Conveyancing Paralegal/Office Manager

Shona joined the firm in 2006 having qualified as a Conveyancing Paralegal at Strathclyde University in May 1998.  Shona deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing matters including purchases, sales, re-mortgages and transfers of title.

She also gained a further qualification in 2014 from the Society of Law Accountants in Scotland.

Gale Davidson

Gale studied the LLB and Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde.  Gale completed a Crown Traineeship and qualified in 2006.  After prosecuting for a number of years Gale moved into Private Practice and has worked for various firms in Ayrshire as a Court Solicitor dealing with criminal, civil and children’s cases.

Gale joined McCluskey Browne as a Solicitor in February 2022 and regularly conducts Court hearings in the Sheriff Court in Family and Child Law cases.  Gale deals with separation, divorce, cohabitation, financial provision, residence and contact disputes and cases pertaining to the relocation of children, Children’s Referrals and she will attend at Children’s Hearings.

Gale also represents clients charged with a wide range of offences such as assault and contraventions of the Road Traffic Act appearing in the Sheriff and Justice of the Peace Courts and providing advice to clients in police custody.

Gale has a calm, professional and understanding approach with clients and strives for the best possible outcome in the handling of their cases.
