Sean Lynch joined McCluskey Browne in 1987 having qualified as a solicitor in 1984. He deals with civil and commercial litigation, including insolvency. He continues to deal with personal injury cases and employment matters and a small number of high value divorce cases. He also gives general business advice. He has a special interest in professional regulation, and acts as a prosecutor before the Scottish Solicitors Discipline Tribunal. He has previously served as a Temporary Sheriff and also an external examiner in Professional Ethics at the University of Strathclyde.

Alan qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and joined the firm in 1995. Alan heads our Property and Private Client departments. He has extensive experience in Commercial Property transactions, Leasing for both Landlord and Tenant, Business Sales and Purchases, all aspects of Residential Property conveyancing – Sales, Purchases and Refinancing, Wills, Inheritance Tax Planning, Administration of Executry Estates (Probate), Powers of Attorney and Guardianship.

Sandy Currie has been practising law since 1981. Previously a partner in McCluskey Browne, Sandy now acts as a consultant for the firm. Sandy is a Solicitor Advocate with extended rights of audience to appear in the High Court of the Justiciary and deals with all aspects of criminal practice.

Scott joined McCluskey Browne Solicitors in 2013, having obtained his LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Aberdeen. Scott completed his traineeship with the firm, before qualifying as a solicitor in 2015.

Practising in all aspect of criminal law, Scott also had extensive experience in appearing in a wide range of family court proceedings involving contact and residence of children, financial provision, parental rights as well as other court proceedings including Fatal Accident Inquiries.

Gale Davidson

Gale studied the LLB and Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde.  Gale completed a Crown Traineeship and qualified in 2006.  After prosecuting for a number of years Gale moved into Private Practice and has worked for various firms in Ayrshire as a Court Solicitor dealing with criminal, civil and children’s cases.

Gale joined McCluskey Browne as a Solicitor in February 2022 and regularly conducts Court hearings in the Sheriff Court in Family and Child Law cases.  Gale deals with separation, divorce, cohabitation, financial provision, residence and contact disputes and cases pertaining to the relocation of children, Children’s Referrals and she will attend at Children’s Hearings.

Gale also represents clients charged with a wide range of offences such as assault and contraventions of the Road Traffic Act appearing in the Sheriff and Justice of the Peace Courts and providing advice to clients in police custody.

Gale has a calm, professional and understanding approach with clients and strives for the best possible outcome in the handling of their cases.
